Annual Performance Reviews

The annual performance appraisal cycle is upon us again. University policy (D11-230) requires that classified and administrative and professional staff have their job performance evaluated on an annual basis and these evaluations are to be done during first quarter of the calendar year. The policy further requires that the completed appraisal forms should be submitted to Human Resources by the 5th working day of April, which this year falls on Friday, April 6. The faculty annual performance review process is covered by different policies that may be found under Academic Affairs policies.

The annual appraisal forms have been changed to reflect a new rating system. The new forms may be found on the HR forms page. Previous versions of the appraisal forms should not be used. Employees who are new to supervision or are first time supervisors at UT Dallas should attend one of the performance appraisal training and calibration sessions that will be offered over the next three (3) months. However, we encourage all supervisors to attend one of the sessions, given the changes to the forms.

Please consult the Training Calendar for upcoming training and calibration sessions. Special sessions are also available for employees new to UT Dallas or just wanting to better understand the annual evaluation process. Keep Personal Data Up-to-date

If you've moved, changed dependents or had other changes in your life, it’s important that you update your records with the University. See the Updating Your Employee Information page for how to make changes to your data. To change your dependents or beneficiaries, contact your benefits representative.

Insurance ID Cards

Because there are no changes to key benefits information such as deductibles, copayments, and customer service contact information for the UT SELECT Medical (including prescription), UT SELECT Dental, Assurant Dental, or Superior Vision plans for the upcoming 2011-2012 Plan Year, new ID Cards will not be issued this year to continuing participants in these plans. If you have newly enrolled in medical, dental, or vision coverage, you should receive your new ID Card(s) by September 1, 2011.
