TITAS Presents
Madeleine Peyroux
Madeleine Peyroux’s utterly unique sound has made her one of the jazz world’s most intriguing talents. Beloved by fans and critics for her intimately arranged covers of early American blues and jazz music, she honed her vocal and guitar skills on the acoustic streets of Europe—inspired by Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Louis Armstrong and other jazz legends. Madeleine has collaborated with heavy-hitters Joe Henry, Steely Dan’s Walter Becker and the Rolling Stones’ Bill Wyman, and toured last year with Diana Krall and Melody Gardot. Her albums include 2005’s Careless Love, 2009’s Bare Bones and a new release set for fall 2011 that she’ll showcase in Dallas. Bluesy, soulful and irresistible, Madeleine Peyroux is any jazz lovers’ dream concert.
